Multi-vehicle crash in Whittier sent two people to hospital

Whittier, California – A multi-vehicle crash happened Monday morning on the 605 Freeway in Whittier.

A car heading south on the 605 Freeway near Washington Boulevard crashed into the center divider and eventually ended up in the northbound lanes approximately 5:20 a.m.

The California Highway Patrol said a motorcycle and three vehicles were involved in the crash. The motorcyclist and one more individual sustained injuries following the crash and were transported to a hospital.

The cause of the accident is still unknown.

Several northbound and southbound lanes were closed due to a Sig Alert.
