Vaccination proof or COVID-19 negative test will no longer be required at mega events in California

Starting at the beginning of April, attendees at indoor mega events in California will no longer be required to show evidence of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to enter the venue.

According to the California Department of Public Health, the new guidelines will take effect on April 1, when the state’s mandate will be modified into a strong recommendation.

Any gathering of 1,000 or more people that takes place inside is defined as an indoor mega event.

It will be up to the counties to decide whether or not to follow state recommendations or set up their own local verification process.
