LBFD crews rescued two people after sailboat got caught on rocks

Long Beach, California – Two people were stranded on a jetty after their sailboat got stuck on the rocks. Crews from the Long Beach Fire Department were called to the Alamitos Bay channel entrance to help them get to safety.

Long Beach Fire Department officials said the rescue call came in at approximately 1:35 p.m.

According to fire authorities, a 22-foot sailboat got caught on the rocks.

Two people were rescued from the rocks by the crew of a Long Beach Fire Department lifeguard boat. According to the information released, the two people were not hurt.

According to authorities, the vessel was towed to safety later.
