Reckless driver arrested after semi-truck driver died in a collision
Long Beach, California – On Sunday, a driver in his 57th year who was operating a semi-truck was killed when another car rear-ended him on the Artesia (91) Freeway in Long Beach, according to the police.
The collision took place on the eastbound highway, west of Susana Road, at around 1:10 in the morning. According to the report from the California Highway Patrol, the motorist who was responsible for causing the collision was arrested.
According to the authorities, Bryan Tostado was driving recklessly in the number one lane of the highway when his 2004 Toyota collided with the center divider and rear-ended a 2022 Freightliner.
The driver of the semi-truck lost control over the vehicle and went off the highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 25-year-old, Bryan Tostado of Norwalk, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. Following his release from the hospital, he was arrested by authorities.
Information on the charges brought against him was not released.
