Coroner identified man whose body was found in North Long Beach

Long Beach, California – The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office has revealed the identity of the man who was discovered dead in North Long Beach on Sunday in the vicinity of East Artesia Boulevard and the Los Angeles River.

Officers from the Long Beach Police Department were sent to the scene in response to a call regarding a dead body at approximately 8:45 a.m. on Sunday. After arriving, officers found a dead male body.

The victim was identified as 26-year-old Juve Medina Morales.

Los Angeles County Coroner’s office employees also responded to the scene and determined that the dead male was homeless.

An autopsy is underway in order to ascertain the reason for Morales’s death.
