Discovery of a dead man drew a large police presence in Long Beach

Long Beach, California – The recent discovery of a dead body near a community park in Long Beach has raised a lot of concerns that the authorities are still attempting to find answers to.

Residents said the discovery drew a large police presence on Friday morning as officers established two different crime scenes. The first crime scene was set on Gundry Avenue and the second one was set on Warren Avenue. One resident said they noticed one uniformed officer and four detectives probably looking for evidence near the crime scenes in the early morning hours of Friday, at approximately 5:20 a.m.

According to authorities, the man who was injured in the upper torso was found at around 12:30 a.m. on the sidewalk of Gundry Avenue. Emergency crews attempted to render aid to the man at the scene, but unfortunately, their efforts turned out to be unsuccessful since the man was already dead.

Information on what type of injuries the man sustained, whether he was stabbed or shot, was not revealed. However, authorities made it clear that the death is being investigated as a possible homicide.

It is unknown whether police identified a suspect or suspects in the case.
