I never believed in the impatience between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. I thought they were just stories, but then I got married.

I will never understand people who come to someone else’s house and take some things they need right now without asking!

In this story, my mother-in-law actually did that. But she didn’t take those things for herself but for my sister-in-law, with whom she lives.

She is a very strange woman by nature. She has this stupid habit of taking things and food from us and taking them home. If she likes my new body lotion, she will take it without a second thought. I made a cake, she liked it, and as she moves, she packs and carries it.

I once bought a hair straightener, but I didn’t get to try it yet, and she took it away from me. I called her and asked her:

“What happened to my hair straightener?” “I gave it to Tiana (my sister-in-law). Her hair straightener is old and burns her hair. I know you’re going to buy a new one,” When he said that, he hung up.

Soon my husband and I will celebrate 5 years of marriage. We decided to go to a restaurant to celebrate. I have a nice, elegant dress, but I miss nice heels. I stopped wearing high heels the moment I got pregnant, which was two years ago. I decided to go shopping and treat myself to new shoes.

As soon as I saw red shoes with a large, thin heel on the shelf, I fell in love. Although they were a little more expensive, I decided to buy them for our anniversary.

The next day, I stayed a little longer at work. I informed my husband that I could not pick up the child from kindergarten. He said that he couldn’t either, but that he would manage somehow.

He called his mother, who came to him to get the key, and then went to get the child and took him to our apartment.

I had to stay at work until almost 8 p.m. When I got home I noticed my new shoes weren’t on the shelf.

I checked everywhere and ran to look for my husband.

“Where are my new shoes?”

“In the hallway, I guess,” he said calmly.

Then I remembered something, “Who was babysitting today?”

“My mother,” said the husband calmly, watching TV.

I knew immediately what had happened. I picked up the phone, my heart was pounding. I was so nervous that my hands were shaking.

 “The red ones? I gave them to Tiana. You have so many shoes I thought you wouldn’t even notice,” she laughed.

“Well, I noticed. These are my new shoes, and I have never worn them before. Please bring them to our apartment tomorrow,” I said.

“Impossible, Tiana has already broken her heel.” It is so thin that it did not last. God, how bad they make shoes today,” saying that, she hung up the phone.

I felt like someone punched me in the head. I rushed into the living room and shouted in such a confused way:

“Bob, your mother took my shoes out of the closet and took them to Tiana!” My new shoes!”

“So what, we’ll buy new ones; we won’t get poorer because of it,” said Bob calmly.

Then an evil thought flashed through my mind: “Okay, you’re going to buy me new shoes tomorrow.”

The next day, I chose the most expensive shoes possible in the store.

“Are you normal?” These shoes cost more than a laptop!”

“You said we won’t be poor if you buy me shoes, so buy them!” I already bought some, but you know what happened to them!

My husband didn’t complain anymore, he bought me shoes. We were returning home in silence. When his phone rang, he answered with a sigh:

“Hi mom, what’s up?”

“Son, I’m coming today to put some meat in your freezer, it won’t fit in mine.”
