Southern California resident hits $2 million jackpot

Compton, California – In what can only be described as an extraordinary run of good fortune, Southern California resident Ruby Evans has had a truly remarkable experience with the California Lottery.

Officials from the lottery have revealed that Evans made a purchase of an Instant Prize Crossword Scratchers ticket from Sweet Time Donuts, a local establishment in Compton. Initially, Evans believed she had won a respectable $2,000.

However, upon her return to the store to acquire a claim form, the actual value of her winnings came as a stunning surprise. When the owner of the shop verified the ticket, the display showed a staggering sum of $2,000,000.

Expressing her overwhelming joy in a statement released by the lottery, Evans stated, “I’ll tell you what, this is a big blessing. It’s given me a chance to pay off my bills, my mortgage, and help my daughters. I’m having fun.”

Evidently, this is not Evans’ first taste of lottery success. In 2013, she won a noteworthy $100,000 prize in another Scratchers game. Furthermore, she recently claimed a $5,000 windfall from a ticket she procured at the very same donut store.

For their part in this extraordinary event, the proprietors of Sweet Time Donuts are set to receive a $10,000 bonus for their role in selling the $2 million ticket.
