Los Angeles County deputies search for two at-risk children allegedly abducted by their father in Lancaster
Lancaster, California – Authorities in Los Angeles County are asking the public for immediate assistance in locating two at-risk missing children who investigators say were abducted by their father in Lancaster.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster Station, the incident happened at approximately 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2026, near the 1000 block of West Avenue J-8 in the city of Lancaster.
Detectives identified the missing children as 9-year-old Marozhina Sukonick and 9-year-old Solomon Sukonick. Investigators said both children were allegedly taken by their father, David Sukonick, and there is concern for their safety and well-being.
Marozhina is described as a white female, 4 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 90 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing pink shorts and a white shirt.
Solomon is also described as a white child, 4 feet 4 inches tall and 90 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities said he was last seen wearing blue shorts and a shirt of an unknown color.
Authorities ask the public to watch for vehicle
Investigators identified David Sukonick as a 71-year-old white man who is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes and was reportedly last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants, and a blue bandana.
According to detectives, David Sukonick and the two children were last seen traveling in a black 2011 Lincoln Town Car displaying California license plate SOLOYST.
Because of the circumstances surrounding the case, authorities have classified the children as at risk and are urging anyone who may have seen them or the vehicle to come forward as soon as possible.
