EMA deactivated after missing girl found safe in Long Beach

Long Beach, California – The California Highway Patrol had activated an Endangered Missing Advisory on behalf of the Long Beach Police Department for a developmentally disabled 14-year-old girl from Long Beach who was reported missing.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the 14-year-old girl, Nya Jingles, was last seen leaving her school on foot around 6:05 Thursday near the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and East Wardlow Road.

She was described as a black female, standing 5’9″ tall, weighing 140 pounds, and having brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing light blue denim shorts, a bright yellow hoodie, and yellow Croc shoes.

Authorities are thanking the community for their assistance and are now informing the public that Nya was found safe in Long Beach around 8:50 a.m. Friday. She is now reunited with her family.
