Vacant structure in El Monte significantly damaged by fire
El Monte, California – A one-story commercial building in El Monte was on fire on Saturday. Firefighters came to put out the flames.
Fire crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were sent as a response to extinguish the fire in the 4600 block of Arden Drive around 11 a.m.
In about an hour, the two-alarm fire was upgraded to a three-alarm fire.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire in the vacant structure by 2:45 p.m. Los Angeles County Division of Building and Safety employees and arson investigators were also dispatched to the scene.
Authorities said the fire caused significant damage to the structure.
There were no injuries reported.
