Authorities asking for help in identifying a Harbor-UCLA Medical Center patient

Hermosa Beach, California – In an effort to identify a patient at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and track down his family members, authorities appealed to the public for assistance on Friday.

According to the Los Angeles County Health Services, paramedics discovered the 82-year-old man, who identified himself as Walter Taylor, on April 2 in Hermosa Beach and transported him to a local hospital.

In a statement, the hospital said it was asking for the public’s and news media’s assistance in identifying the patient’s family since the patient was not able to give information for next of kin. “He is currently conscious, but unable to communicate any information that will help the hospital identify his family.”

Hospital officials described the patient as a Black male, standing 6’ tall, weighing around 200 pounds, with brown eyes and black/gray hair.

Anyone with information about the patient’s family is asked to contact the hospital at 424-306-6851.
