Police chase after a stolen vehicle results in an arrest after suspect crashes into an embankment

Los Angeles, California – A police chase after a stolen SUV results in the arrest of the driver after crashing on Mulholland Drive.

The driver of a blue Honda Passport did not comply with LAPD officers’ orders after they tried to stop him in Van Nuys around 9:25 p.m. and continued driving.

The pursuit after the SUV began on the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway and continued to Sherman Oaks. The suspect exited onto Ventura Boulevard and continued driving at a high rate of speed down canyon roads. The driver lost control of the car at some point and crashed into a dirt embankment on Mulholland Drive.

The driver remained inside the SUV for almost an hour until a SWAT team shattered the windows and arrested him.
