Long Beach police looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck and injured a bicyclist

Long Beach, California – Long Beach police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who hit a male bicyclist in the California Heights neighborhood on Wednesday, causing the bicyclist to sustain injuries that required hospitalization.

The accident took place near Reservoir Park in the 1100 block of East Wardlow Road just after 2:30 p.m. when the driver struck the bicyclist and left the scene, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The victim was treated at the scene and then taken to a hospital by the Long Beach Fire Department for further treatment of injuries to the upper body.

The bicyclist was said to be in stable condition based on the most recent information.
