Jackknifed big rig causes traffic chaos on 60 Freeway in Boyle Heights
A jackknifed big rig caused traffic chaos on the 60 Freeway in Boyle Heights on Thursday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway, close to the Indiana Street exit.
The truck was transporting at least three vehicles when it crashed, leading to the blockage of several lanes of the highway.
The resulting traffic jam backed up for miles. At noon, the CHP issued a SigAlert in response to the incident.
