Attempted robbery leaves Florida man wounded

Los Angeles, California – A Florida man has been shot during a robbery in Venice.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred at 1:45 p.m. between Washington Boulevard and Dell Avenue in the area of Venice Beach.

According to the police report, the victim was walking back to their car from the beach with his girlfriend when two suspects came up to them.

The victim was shot in the leg by one of the suspects after he refused to give them his watch. The suspects fled the scene in their vehicle after shooting the victim.

A description of the suspects was not released, but authorities mentioned that the attackers were wearing ski masks at the time of the incident.
