Anaheim police asking for the public’s help in locating a man who tried to abduct a minor girl
Anaheim, California – The Anaheim Police Department appealed to the public for their assistance in locating a man who attempted to abduct a minor girl.
The unfortunate event occurred in the 2600 block of West Ball Road when the suspect tried to push the 13-year-old girl into his vehicle while she was heading home from Dale Junior High School.
Officers were sent to the scene around 2:45 p.m. on Friday after people who witnessed the incident called 911.
Fortunately, the man gave up on his intentions of kidnapping the girl, and she escaped unharmed.
Police provided a description of the suspect, saying he was a Latino man in his 20s with a thin physique and short hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray hoodie and the vehicle he was driving was described as a white pickup truck, probably a Toyota Tundra or Ford F-150, with a gray tool rack attached to the bed of the vehicle.
