Suspect responsible for killing one person in South Los Angeles shooting still on the loose

Los Angeles, California – Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene of a shooting in South Los Angeles that claimed the life of one person on Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred on West Florence Avenue in the parking lot of the AutZone.

First responders transported one individual to a hospital for treatment upon arriving at the scene. The individual succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

The suspect, who was only described as a Black adult male operating a black sedan, is still on the loose.

Investigators could not find the weapon used in the incident at the crime scene.

The identity of the victim will not be released until their family is notified.
