Several men injured in South LA shooting incident

Multiple men were injured in a shooting incident in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of South LA on Thursday evening.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to reports of gunfire at around 8:07 pm at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Hoover Street, near a Subway restaurant.

Upon arrival, officers discovered four victims who had sustained gunshot wounds.

One man had been shot in the head but was conscious and breathing, while another had been shot in the back, a third in the ankle, and a fourth was found 10 minutes later at Figueroa and West 109th Place, having run to a person’s door screaming that he had been shot. The fourth victim had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest. All the injured men were transported to hospitals, with three of them reported to be in critical condition.

LAPD officers have described the suspects as two men who fled the scene in a black Chrysler heading southbound on Hoover Street from Imperial Highway. Another suspect vehicle was also mentioned in the last shooting, described as a black BMW.

At present, no further information is available about the suspects or the circumstances of the shooting. The LAPD Southeast Station is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them. The authorities have not reported any additional injuries in the incident.
