People invited to attend the Long Beach Pride parade which is returning to the city this weekend

Long Beach, California – People in Long Beach can enjoy the music of multiple artists this weekend who are set to perform at the Pride parade, which is returning to the city after a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19.

The organizers made the decision to hold the event virtually last year due to the coronavirus.

This year’s festivities will take place at Marina Green Park, starting on Wednesday with a Teen Pride Celebration. Then, on Saturday and Sunday, there will be a two-day festival that, in addition to musical performances, will offer a wide variety of activities that attendees can take part in, such as a silent disco, a roller rink, drag make-up competitions, and dance competitions.

A Family Fun Zone for children of all ages and a Senior Fun Zone featuring music, karaoke, and bingo are also included in the event.

The Long Beach Pride said in a statement, “In order to tell our story in a way that honors the struggle, celebrates the community, and captivates new generations—while showcasing our history—we need to engage multiple audiences in multiple ways.”
