Man hospitalized following a stabbing in North Long Beach

Long Beach, California – An investigation into a stabbing incident that occurred last week on Friday in the city is ongoing, and the Long Beach Police Department is asking anyone who might have information that will lead to identifying a suspect to come forward.

The stabbing incident that left a man in critical condition took place in North Long Beach near the intersection of Obispo Street and 67th Way a few hours before midnight.

Police responded to the scene after receiving a report regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from stab wounds to the upper body. The victim told the police he was approached by an unknown suspect while exiting the vehicle and was stabbed from behind. After that, the suspect fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel also responded to the scene and transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. The man was said to be in critical but stable condition.

Police haven’t been able to identify a suspect in this case so far, and they’re asking anyone with information to get in touch.

Information about a motive or description of the suspect was not released. The investigation is ongoing.
