Arrest made after SWAT standoff involving a man barricaded in a vehicle outside 7-Eleven

Los Angeles, California – A man was arrested after a SWAT standoff early Friday morning outside a 7-Eleven convenience store in the Valley Glen area.

The standoff was prompted around 3 a.m. outside the 7-Eleven convenience store in the area of Victory Boulevard and Whitsett Avenue after a man barricaded himself in a vehicle.

Witnesses said LAPD officers fired tear gas at his car at some point, and shortly after, they could be seen smashing through the back windshield. Eventually, the man was arrested and taken into prison.

Information regarding the identity of the man was not released.
