Police arrested a man for killing his 10-month-old son

Long Beach, California – A father was arrested for killing his 10-month old son.

Officers responded to a domestic violence incident in the 5400 block of Atlantic Avenue around 7:00 a.m. on February 9.

Responding officers talked to a female victim at the scene who said she had been attacked by the 23-year-old boyfriend, Jeremy Wade, from Los Angeles. She also told police that Wade and their son, Isiah Gaston, were in a nearby motel room.

Patrol police found Gaston unresponsive in a motel room along with his father, Wade. They rendered first aid to the boy while waiting for the Long Beach Fire Department crew. The boy was taken to a hospital for treatment, but he died shortly after.

As a result of the suspicious circumstances surrounding this incident, homicide detectives were sent to the scene and conducted an investigation.

Evidence at the scene revealed that Wade had caused severe body injuries to Gaston that were the main cause of his death. After that, Wade was arrested by a detective and booked at the Long Beach City Jail on murder charges. He is being held on a bond of $2 million.
