Three suspects arrested after robbing a Whittier jewelry store

Whittier, California – Two people under the age of 18 and one adult were arrested after robbing $250,000 worth of jewelry from a store in Whittier.

Multiple units, including the Whittier police, Los Angeles County deputies and members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, responded after the suspects robbed the jewelry store.

The robbery took place just before noon on Monday at the Whittwood Towne Center Mall. The suspects shattered cases inside Daniel’s Jewelers, stealing $250,000 worth of jewelry and damaging vehicles that were parked in the parking lot, according to authorities.

After stealing the jewelry, two of the suspects stole a vehicle and attempted to escape, but ended up crashing into another vehicle, while the third suspect tried to flee the scene in a Ford Mustang. They were all eventually arrested.

The investigation is ongoing and authorities are trying to determine whether the same suspects are connected to a robbery that occurred in Huntington Beach.
