Body of man who went missing mid-March discovered in Griffith Park
Los Angeles, California – The body of a man who had been missing for more than two weeks was discovered on Thursday night in a remote region of Griffith Park with his dog at his side.
The 29-year-old, Oscar Alejandro Hernandez, was reported missing on March 16. His family said he was last seen near the merry-go-round hiking trails.
One firefighter said that the location where Hernandez’s body was found was a good hike up from the merry-go-round.
Hernandez’s body was discovered 16 days later, and authorities couldn’t believe that his loyal dog was still alive.
The Los Angeles Police Department, the Los Angeles Fire Department, family members, and park rangers were at the scene where Hernandez’s body was found.
An investigation into the circumstances leading to his death is ongoing.
