Semi-trailer truck crash caused closure of lanes on 101 Freeway

Los Angeles, California – On early Friday morning, a semi-trailer truck crashed on the 101 Freeway in the West Fernando Valley, causing long lines of traffic.

The accident occurred on the westbound highway in Sherman Oaks near Van Nuys Boulevard when the semi-trailer truck flipped over on its side, forcing the closure of lanes.

After repositioning the big rig onto its wheels at 6 a.m., crews removed the truck’s cab and trailer away from the site.

Motorists on the highway were detoured on alternate routes.

There were no significant injuries recorded.

The cause of the accident was not immediately known.
